Good day all, I wanted to talk about my (Jay) outdoor time of gardening. I have been doing a garden at our home for maybe 4yrs now. This started with the idea of just growing and sharing whatever we grew. Now Mind you I had never done any of this before it was all trial and error and I had a lot of error. The 1st year my Brother-in-law and I built a massive garden bed, I planted cabbage, peppers, various types of tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans. So, I planted everything, and I watered the garden daily and as time went on, I started to see some growth. Now I did look up some garden videos, read a lot on the subject to get a basic understanding of what I needed to do along with how each type of vegetable I planted would grow. Well, I started getting this plant that was growing rapidly, and I was so excited because it was getting super tall, but I noticed there was no flowers on it. So, after a little research I found out what I had been growing or should I say allowed to grow was nothing more than a weed. LOL. Now I did catch it fairly early, but it was kind of funny because it was not just one but like 3. Now I have come a long way since that first year. This year (2025) I have downsized and just do the basics, but the idea is still the same. I share whatever I grow with whomever needs or just wants to enjoy. I have learned so much about gardening but not just that but how it relates to our journey in life in so many ways. See if I would have allowed that weed to continue to grow it would have choked out the actual plants I planted, and they would not have produced. We sometimes can have weeds (people, places or things) in our life that need to be removed. It has choked out the very life that God wants to come forth in you. If we just look around us God is always speaking and always have spoken through nature, I mean He uses everything to try and catch our attention. We have to be open to see and hear all that he wants to show us. Back to the gardening, this has been something I have grown to enjoy and love doing. It brings my family and I together and outdoors even more now. I hope you all have been enjoying these blogs we have been posting and allowing our words to be inspiring. As always, make sure that you drop a comment and go and check out the YouTube page JaynStay outdoors. We continue to pray for you all those we know and even those we do not. Until next time be safe and may The Lord shine Upon you.
